Dr. Scott Speirs
BDS
Dr Scott Speirs graduated from the University of Melbourne with his Bachelor of Dental Science. He is the owner of Swansea Dental Practice. Dr Speirs grew up in Victoria, but has been part of the local community since 1997. Dr Speirs has a particular interest in orthodontics, in which he has extensive additional training. In addition, he has advanced skills in endodontics (root canal treatment), paediatric dentistry and oral surgery.
Dr Speirs has always been interested in healthcare and in caring for others, but particularly likes the mechanics and intricate designs required to restore and create healthy smiles. Outside of dentistry, his interests include sports and music. He is a father of three and enjoys talking to other patients with children.
The local community is important to Dr Speirs, and his dental practice dedicates a day every six months or so towards treating disadvantaged people living locally. The practice also supports World Vision and sponsors a child.
Dr. Arjun Jeganathan
BDS
Dr Arjun Jeganathan graduated from the University of Adelaide with his Bachelor of Dental Surgery. He grew up in Sri Lanka but has lived in the local community since 1988. Dr Jeganathan’s interests include prosthodontics and implantology, followed by paediatric dentistry, periodontics, and treating people with jaw joint disorders (TMJ problems).
Dr Jeganathan derives a great deal of pleasure from seeing patients smile once more, and believes good health can increase a person’s overall happiness. Dr Jeganathan’s interests include fitness and fishing, and he has two children.

Michelle Hogg
Dental Hygienist
Michelle is our Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist, and these two qualifications carry a joint title of Oral Health Therapist. She graduated from Newcastle University with a Bachelor of Oral Health in 2007, and achieved a Graduate Diploma in Dental Therapy in 2013.
As our Dental Therapist, Michelle is able to treat both children and adults, but her specialty is working with children. She has a particular interest in behaviour management for children, and can offer a number of different services such as advice on diet, periodontal analysis, and is able to advise adults on quitting smoking. Michelle has worked in the dental industry for twenty five years and is involved in the local community as she attends local schools and teaches children about dental health. She loves talking to patients and getting to know them and their family.
Away from work, Michelle is a busy mum of three, and enjoys music, travel, fitness and books, and is a member of the local game fishing club.
